Ferrari Costruzioni Meccaniche a manufacturer in Guidizzolo, near Mantua, came to the EIMA Show to put to work a telescopic transplanter with outstanding flexibility for planting a tobacco and a wide variety of vegetables. This FMAX model is equipped with a parallelogram designed for many types of plugs, pyramidal, cylindrical, conic and compressed square blocks if the leaves are long enough and a self-cleaning plowshare to avoid clogging or damage caused by tipping seedlings. Each workstation of this Ferrari Costruzioni transplanter is equipped with eight or ten rotary carousel cartridges, a strong point which enables the planting of as many as 5000 plants/h according to Ferrari. FMAX transplanters are available in folding and a modular version which can plant one to twelve rows on a fixed or folding quadruple bar. These transplanters guarantee top quality performance in handling thin or long plants and for their work capabilities on soft soil or hard, uneven ground and on stony terrain. The FMAX models also feature the possibility to add optional equipment to a basic model from a wide range of accessories offered by the Mantua manufacturer to further enhance the great versatility of their transplanters.
