From the processing to harvesting, the winning models by Kuhn

There are numerous innovations presented by Kuhn at the five-day event in Bologna, starting with the HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R folding harrows (with working widths of 6 and 8 m). The new harrows are aimed at contractors and large farms looking to achieve high productivity in all operating conditions. These two new models are equipped with a control unit located in the cabin to alert the operator in case one of the torque limiters disengages, and it reports the oil temperature in the machine’s three casing. All the components and the transmission of the HR 6040 R and HR 8040 R models were designed to be operated by tractors with powers up to 460 Hp and 500 Hp, respectively. The high productivity (up to 100 hectares per day for HR 8040 R) is linked to the considerable working width of these models, but also to the ability to adapt the machine to different soil conditions. This is made possible thanks to the hydraulic adjustment of the working depth and the leveling bar directly from the tractor cabin. Kuhn also boosts the development of its range for the protection of crops, and after METRIS 2 (presented at Agritechnica 2015), it presents the LEXIS towed sprayer. The new LEXIS 3000 model has a 3000 litre tank and is aimed at farmers who need a simple and reliable machine. Everything about the LEXIS 3000 was designed to simplify the operator’s work, such as the MANUSET two-valve control panel, the compactness of the vehicle (only 4.05 metres between hitch and axle), and the DPAE RPB, REB3, and VISIOREB control units. To complete the picture of new items that Kuhn is bringing to EIMA, we find the 2200 Series VB variable chamber round baler. This new machine has been designed incorporating the most recent innovations that guarantee the perfect rotation of bales and their high density, whatever the type of harvested forage. The VB 2255-2285 models, managed from the AT 10 terminal, are designed to work with dry straw, hay and related silage. VB 2260 and VB 2290 are machines for the ISOBUS standard, designed to meet today’s needs of farmers and agricultural contractors. The VB Series 2265-2295 and VBP combined series are the top-of-the-range of balers and are designed for the heaviest work.
