The historic Emak headquarters in Bagnolo in Piano (RE) gain a new technical centre, a cutting-edge building that responds to new working needs, as well as the safety standards imposed by the emergency linked to Covid-19. The new structure covers about 5,000 square metres on two floors. The ground floor houses the service school for theoretical and practical training courses for retailers and repair centres. This can be accessed from a room where you can admire an exhibition of the machines that have made Emak’s history. The engineer test offices are also located on the ground floor, with 16 workstations, with direct access to the new experimental laboratory. Equipped with 24 test rooms, twice the size of the previous premises, the laboratory is made up of a specific room for safety tests according to the machinery directive, two specific test rooms for the development of battery products, a dust chamber, a cold chamber, and a hot chamber. Everything, from test benches to software interfaces, has been designed to ensure maximum flexibility of spaces and readiness for change, and to respond to the ongoing developments of the period we are going through. The upper floor of the new premises contains the offices created to house the technical department. It has a total of 62 workstations, 6 meeting rooms of different capacities, and spaces to accommodate interns, trainees and external associates. “The new hub - reads the press release issued by the Emilian Group - underlines Emak’s vocation for innovation, a company always open to change, where the workplace is a space for growth and self-realization. A co-working environment where the exchange of ideas and dialogue represent the foundations for the development of cutting-edge solutions”.
