The Valtra G series, available with CVT transmission
The Finnish brand Valtra was present at Agritechnica to debut the expansion of its G Series tractors with the introduction of the continuously variable CVT transmission available on all four models in the power range from 105 at 145 Hp in the two Active and SmartTouch configurations. The CVT transmission – explains the manufacturer in a technical note – offers a single working range from 0 to 40 km/h and a Load Sensing hydraulic system which, together with EcoPower technology, contributes to optimizing fuel consumption by keeping engine revs low, but without reducing the machine's performance. Valtra's G Series is designed for intuitive driving, with simplified controls for smooth starting and stopping, even on slopes.
The Valtra shuttle function with integrated parking position or parking brake in CVT models makes maneuvering and changing direction easier. Moreover, operators can take advantage of the wide view offered by the cabin glass – the surface area is a huge 5.7 m2 - and the low hood, very useful for working with the front loader (the hydraulic flow reaches up to 110 l/min) managed via an electronic joystick. The G Series CVT SmartTouch models offer programmable electronic rear valves, integrated with the U-Pilot valve management system.
The Active models have mechanical controls for the rear valves. The G Series is equipped with the most advanced electronic systems such as Valtra Guide, ISOBUS, Section Control and TaskDoc, while the optional Technology and Technology Pro packages allow operators to increase the machine's automation and precision.
